A Note from our UK Managing Director about COVID-19

Dear Customer,

As a valued member of Essex Glass and Windscreens, I appreciate the trust you place in us and our team.

To create the best possible experience for you as you continue to trade in the current environment, we are heightening our awareness and practices. I want to personally share with you an update on the important steps we are taking to keep our customers, team members, and communities healthy and safe.

Outstanding operations are something we are known for, with a highly trained team and agile policies to best serve you. Building on this strength we immediately augmented our strict business continuity protocols to ensure all team members were fully briefed with up-to-date Government guidance to ensure the Health and Safety of themselves and our customers.

Cleaning schedules have been enhanced in high touch areas such as PDA’s, Phones, Credit Card Machines and customers car keys with additional cleaning products added to each van and issued to each technician. To be extra safe, we are cleaning surfaces frequently throughout each and every day.

We remain committed to serving you during this time. We will remain open and service all area’s until otherwise instructed. Our dedicated team stands ready to serve you.

I also want to make sure you know we are taking good care of our team during this time. We have provided resources and direction to all team members to follow prevention guidelines offered by the National Health Service (NHS), as prevention is at heart of their guidance.

To further reduce the risk of exposure to this virus, we are also proactively encouraging all members of our team to take extra care amongst high risk groups, as well as following government guidelines on self-isolation for those who display symptoms of the virus. We have eliminated all large company gatherings, as well as requiring self-quarantines for anyone who has traveled to the countries outlined by the NHS as high-risk.

We are operating with vigilance, compassion and care as we manage through this difficult time together.

Service Process for COVID-19

To be reviewed daily.
  • Upon arrival, use hand sanitisers.
  • Apply gloves.
  • Avoid close contact with customer.
  • Sanitise the customer’s car key.
  • On completion of job, sanitise hands and customers key.
  • Ensure credit card machine has been sanitised before and after use.
  • When taking cash as payment ensure gloves are worn and money is placed in a plastic money bag.
  • Ensure phones are sanitised as above for pre and post procedures.
  • Carry a full sanitising check on customers vehicle.
